India on Saturday strongly condemned “barbaric and dastardly” terrorist attack in Kabul that claimed lives of at least 95 people and injuring 163 others. It also extended all possible help, including for treatment of the injured. “There can be no justification for such reprehensible attacks. The perpetrators of these attacks and their supporters should be brought to justice,” the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
The government also noted that blast followed the cowardly terror attack on children and civilians in Jalalabad on January 24. In a message, India said it stands in solidarity with the government and the people of Afghanistan at this difficult time of mindless violence and terror imposed on them.
“We convey our heartfelt condolences to the next of kin of the victims of these terror attacks and pray for speedy recovery of those injured. India stands ready to extend all possible assistance, including for treatment of those injured,” MEA said.
Earlier, an ambulance packed with explosives blew up in a crowded area of the Afghan capital today, killing at least 63 people and wounding 151 others. The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The attack occurred near the old interior ministry building, an interior ministry spokesman told AFP. The blast took place in a busy part of the city where offices of High Peace Council are located. Headquarters of Kabul police headquarters is also in the vicinity of the blast.
As per Hassina Safi, a member of High Peace Council, the blast occurred their the checkpoint of the council that is tasked with negotiating with the Taliban. “So far we don’t have any reports if any of our members are wounded or killed,” he was quoted as saying by AFP.
The explosion occurred almost a week after Taliban terrorists stormed a luxury hotel in Kabul, killing at least 22 people, most of them foreigners.
On Saturday morning, a security alert was issued to foreigners warning that the Islamic State group, was planning conduct terror attacks on supermarkets, shops and hotels mostly visited by foreigners.
